AREA INFORMATION

The 40 acre parcel is a wooded site on the eastern edge of Southern Woods; located in the Tow of Homoassa Citrus County Florida. The highlight of the surrounding area is 3 golf courses. A beautiful 18 hole 6,925 yard course is part of the Southern Woods development complete with a large clubhouse with casual and fine dining. SOUTHERN WOODS

Citrus County is located on the west central coast of Florida, and north of Tampa Bay. Citrus County covers 583 sq. miles, and is bounded by the Gulf of Mexico on the west, Marion and Levy Counties to the north, Sumpter County to the east, and Hernando County to the south. Citrus County is a true gem, located at the hub of Florida’s Nature Coast. Boasting seven spring-driven rivers, an unspoiled Gulf of Mexico shoreline, and rolling hills wrapped in lush forest lands, Citrus residents have an esthetically pleasing and wonderfully diverse setting.

Few counties in Florida enjoy a more temperate year round climate than Citrus. Summer days average 82 degrees, moderated by constant breezes from lakes and the Gulf, while winter lows average 62 degrees. Many of the county rivers flow at a constant temperature of 72 degrees, providing the endangered Manatee, America’s largest fresh water mammal, with it’s favored winter home.

The Town of Homosassa is in the southwest quadrant of Citrus County. With the Sun Coast Parkway available just minutes away, Homosassa is only 50 minutes north of Tampa and 60 miles northwest of Orlando. The county is also well connected by US Highways 19 and 98.
